Trata-se de uma técnica de descarga de pulso melhorada, a qual mede continuamente uma impedância de sensor de gás em temperaturas elevadas. A presente invenção é caracterizada pelo fato de que os valores de impedância medidos são usados para controlar a dita temperatura de operação do sensor dentro de uma faixa de temperatura definida ou para monitorar a dita temperatura de operação do sensor através de monitoramento de impedância.
