Abstract
PROMOTORES DE UBIQUITINA DE MILHO. O promotor de Ubiquitina-1 de Zea mays c.v. B73 (Ubi-1 de Z. mays c.v. B73) comanda altos níveis de expressão constitutiva de transgene em plantas. O uso repetido do mesmo promotor Ubi-1 de Z. mays c.v. B73 em construtos com múltiplos genes pode também levar ao silenciamento gênico, deste modo, tornando os produtos transgênicos menos eficazes. São fornecidos elementos promotores reguladores gênicos, construtos e métodos para expressão de um transgene em células de plantas e/ou tecidos de planta usando elementos reguladores gênicos do promotor Ubi-1 de uma espécie Zea diferente, Z. luxurians v2.
