A presente invenção se refere a composições consistindo em copolímeros em bloco de a,w-di-aril ou alquil sulfonatos de poli(óxido de etileno)w-poli(óxido de propileno)-poli(óxido de etileno)w de di-amônio e copolímeros em bloco de a,w-diamina de poli(óxido de etileno)w-poli(óxido de propileno)-poli(óxido de etileno)w que são eficazes para a desidratação e dessalinização de petróleos brutos com densidade específica na faixa de 14 a 20 °API.
