A presente invenção refere-se ao processo de obtenção de produto alimenticio e/ou nutracêutico (farinha) do fruto de Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck. Processo de obtenção por secagem, trituração e tamisação do albedo do fruto de Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck. com atividade na massa corporal e no metabolismo de lipídeos. A farinha produzida possui efeito terapêutico na prevenção e no tratamento de obesidade, excesso de massa gorda e hipertrigliceridemia e pode ser acrescida a formulações de outros produtos alimenticios e no desenvolvimento de produtos funcionais
