A presente patente de invenção refere-se a uma liga de Fe-Cu-Nb para uso como matriz ligante em ferramentas diamantadas, cujo elemento Nióbio (Nb) promove o endurecimento da liga, aumento de aderência da matriz metálica com os diamantes e aumento na resistência ao desgaste da ferramenta diamantada, possuindo larga aplicação na área de ferramentas dimantadas.
