ANEL DE PISTÃO PARA USO EM MOTORES DE COMBUSTÃO INTERNA E PROCESSO DE FABRICAÇÃO DE ANEL DE PISTÃO. A presente invenção refere-se a um anel de pistão (A) para uso em motores de combustão interna, dotado de um corpo anelar definindo uma superfície lateral externa (1) que desliza em relação à parede de um cilindro e que compreende pelo menos uma primeira porção de rebaixo (2) anelar e uma segunda porção, não rebaixada (3), onde a primeira porção de rebaixo (2) recebe pelo menos uma camada de revestimento (4) depositada de forma a atingir a altura da segunda porção não rebaixada (3), definindo uma superfície de contato (5). Descreve-se ainda o processo de fabricação do anel de pistão (A).
